*U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he anticipates the United States and China will reach an agreement on trade issues during the upcoming APEC summit next week. However, he noted that a meeting between the leaders of the two countries may not necessarily take place.

*Shenzhen released the “Action Plan for Promoting High-Quality Mergers and Acquisitions (2025-2027)”, aiming to achieve a total market capitalization of listed companies both domestically and overseas exceeding CNY 20tn by the end of 2027, which represents a CNY 5tn increase compared to the previous draft for public comment. The plan also supports “chain master” enterprises and leading listed companies in strategic emerging industries such as integrated circuits, AI, new energy and biomedicine to conduct upstream and downstream M&A activities.

*IDC recently released a latest report showing that in the first half of 2025, China’s AI infrastructure services market grew by 122.4% y/y, reaching CNY 19.87bn, with Alibaba Cloud accounted for 24.7%, firmly holding the top position.
