*The State Council Premier Li Qiang held a ceremony to welcome Prime Minister Fan Mingzheng of Vietnam to conduct an official visit to China, whom pointed out that China is willing to do a good job in strategic docking with Vietnam, with high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road" as the main line, making good use of the mechanism of the China-Vietnam bilateral cooperation steering committee, and coordinating cooperation in areas like law enforcement security, economic and trade investment, science, education, culture and health.

 

Industrial Economy

*NDRC organized a seminar on the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry which analyzed the current situation and existing problems in the development of traditional Chinese medicine industry, focused on modernization and internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine for exchange and discussion, and proposed relevant policy suggestions.

*NDRC investigated the potash fertilizer industry and the space for increasing production and expanding capacity of potash fertilizer in Qinghai Province during 2023 Potassium Salt Potash Fertilizer Conference and Golmud Salt Lake Forum.

*Guangdong Province released the "implementation opinions on furtherdeepening the reform and construction of digitalgovernment" which proposed that by 2025, the "digital government 2.0" of "smart-collar Guangdong politics, good governance for the people" will be fully completed and the government governance process model will continue to be reconstructed and optimized. Explore the development and establishment of international big data services and offshore data centers.

*The current risk of overcapacity in traditional industries has intensified and the operating rate of the chemical fiber textile market is less than 80%, with the current operating rate of the textile market is about 70%, and that of the chemical fiber industry PTA reduced to 77%, and the paper industry is at a low level of 65.7%, according to industry insiders.

*Wang Zhigang, head of the Ministry of Science and Technology led a team to Hefei to conduct research on nuclear fusion-related work and hold a special symposium on the future development path of fusion energy whom emphasized to focus on nuclear fusion engineering, technology and method research to accelerate the energy utilization process of nuclear fusion.

*The General Administration of Sport and 12 other departments jointly issued"Guiding Opinions on Promoting Sports to Support Rural Revitalization Work" which focusing on the key areas of sports helping rural revitalization.
