*General Offices of CPC Central Committee and State Council jointly released a directive on accelerating green and low-carbon transformation while enhancing the development of China’s national carbon market.

*PBOC, National Financial Regulatory Administration (NFRA) and National Forestry and Grassland Administration (NFGA) jointly issued a notice on enhancing financial services for high-quality forestry development, which encouraged regions with adequate resources to establish forest tenure reserve institutions based on local needs

*The Shanghai headquarters of the PBoC announced an adjustment to the pricing mechanism for commercial personal housing loans in Shanghai. Effective immediately, the distinction between first-home and second-home mortgage rates has been abolished.

*The National Press and Publication Administration (NPPA) released the August 2025 approval list for domestic online games, with 166 titles granted publishing licenses.

*Guizhou Province publicly solicited opinions on its “Implementation Plan for Deepening Market-Oriented Reform of New Energy Grid Electricity Pricing”, key proposals include all centralized/distributed photovoltaic and wind power projects must fully integrate their grid-connected electricity into the power market. Electricity prices will be determined entirely through market transactions
