On August 6, 2024, Orient Futures International (Singapore) partnered with Singapore Exchange (SGX) to host a Fireside Chat titled “Evolution of Derivatives in Singapore – Market Trends and Insights.”

The event featured Ms. Tashya Zhuo from SGX and Mr. Marcus Goi, CEO of Orient Futures International (Singapore), who discussed the evolution of derivatives trading in Singapore and the opportunities available to traders. Over 40 attendees from various industries participated, sharing their personal insights on the current landscape and the challenges and opportunities expected in 2024.

Marcus shared on his experiences with the Singapore Derivatives Market and recounted the remarkable transformation SGX has gone through as a premier global hub with key developments in regulatory frameworks and product innovations. “What sets Orient Futures apart is our strong partnership with SGX, which enables us to provide our clients with seamless access to Singapore’s derivatives market,” said Mr. Marcus Goi, CEO of Orient Futures International (Singapore).

Tashya also highlighted the diverse range of products SGX has developed over the years by adapting to various market changes and needs. Notable examples include the MSCI Singapore Index, Tokyo Overnight Rate Average, and GIFT Connect Nifty.
