-New details of the 14-point draft memorandum of understanding between Iran and the United States have been released. They include commitments from the US to lift sanctions, withdraw troops from areas surrounding Iran, end the maritime blockade, keep the Strait of Hormuz open, remove oil sanctions, and unfreeze Iran’s frozen assets.

-The PBoC has launched a public consultation on the Measures for the Administration of Large-Value Certificates of Deposit. It lowers the minimum subscription threshold for individual investors to no less than 200k yuan, and clarifies that both third-party platforms and banks’ own channels may handle the transfer, early withdrawal and redemption of large-value certificates of deposit.
 
-The Cyberspace Administration of China has issued the Self-Discipline Convention on Rectifying Infringing Information on Enterprises and Optimizing the Online Business Environment, which clarifies that websites and platforms shall take the initiative to remove false and misleading information involving enterprises..

-The cumulative increase in aggregate financing to the real economy for the first five months of 2026 stood at 17.48 trillion yuan, down 1.16 trillion yuan y/y. At end-May, the outstanding aggregate financing to the real economy reached 458.81 trillion yuan, up 7.7% y/y. Also at end-May, the M2 rose by 8.6% y/y, and the M1 grew by 5.5% y/y. A net cash injection of 590.7 billion yuan was recorded in the first five months. Loans increased by 9.11 trillion yuan over the first five months, while household loans decreased by 631.4 billion yuan.
 
-The 2025 annual report released by China Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation Limited (CSDC) shows that 13.8695 million new investors were added in 2025. The total number of investors at year-end reached 250.6729 million, a year-on-year increase of 5.86%.
