-Recently, DeepSeek has launched China’s first regular peak‑valley differentiated billing scheme for commercial large‑model services. Prices during off‑peak hours will be half of those during peak hours, and the scheme will take effect officially on August 17.

-Data released by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange show that China posted a current‑account surplus of 1.3337 trillion yuan in the second quarter of 2026. Within this total, the goods trade surplus stood at 1.9065 trillion yuan, the services trade deficit was 358.4 billion yuan, the primary income deficit reached 257.2 billion yuan, and the secondary‑income surplus amounted to 42.8 billion yuan. The capital and financial account registered a deficit of 1.3337 trillion yuan, while inbound direct investment maintained net inflows.

-Since the beginning of this year, loan interest rates in China have remained at a low level, continuing their downward trend in July. In July, the weighted average interest rate on newly‑granted corporate loans stood slightly below 3%, around 0.2 percentage points lower than the same period last year. The weighted average interest rate on newly‑issued personal housing loans came in at approximately 3.1%, largely unchanged from the same period a year earlier.

-In the first seven months of 2026, China’s cumulative increment in aggregate financing to the real economy stood at 22.25 trillion yuan, 1.74 trillion yuan less than the same period of the previous year. RMB loans increased by 10.38 trillion yuan in the first seven months. At end‑July, the balance of M2 rose by 7.7% year‑on‑year, and the balance of M1 grew by 4% year‑on‑year. The outstanding aggregate financing to the real economy reached 463.27 trillion yuan at end‑July, representing a year‑on‑year growth of 7.4%.
