Tensions in Iran have flared up sharply. U.S. President Donald Trump has canceled his weekend vacation and plans to attend the wedding of his eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., deciding to stay at the White House and urgently convene his national security team to discuss military options against Iran.

– Eight authorities including the China Securities Regulatory Commission have jointly issued the Work Plan for Comprehensive Rectification of Illegal Cross-border Securities, Futures and Fund Business Activities. It explicitly bans overseas institutions from illegally providing account opening and trading services within China in any form, with a two-year intensive rectification period set.
 
– The State Council has issued the Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Provision of Basic Public Services Based on Permanent Residence, which emphasizes that basic public services shall be provided by the place of permanent residence, enabling permanent residents without local household registration to enjoy equal access to basic public services as registered local residents.

– The National Bureau of Statistics released the Communiqué on Major Data of the 2025 National 1% Population Sample Survey. The national population stands at 1.40545 billion. The overall sex ratio of the population is 104.21 males per 100 females. Urban residents total 952.08 million, accounting for 67.74% of the population, while rural residents reach 453.37 million, making up 32.26%.
 
– In the first four months of this year, 20,113 new foreign-invested enterprises were established in China, a year-on-year increase of 6.8%. Actual utilized foreign capital reached 287.69 billion yuan, down 10.3%.
