International Relationship
*Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with President Racalie of Uruguay who came to China for a state visit, NDRC signed four cooperation documents with relevant departments in Uruguay to jointly build the “Belt and Road”, exchange and cooperation in the field of economic development, green low-carbon and digital economy.
Policy
*The State Council approved the “Work Plan for Supporting Beijing to Deepen the Construction of a Comprehensive Demonstration Zone for Expanding and Opening up the National Service Industry”, which pointed out to build a national new type of Internet Exchange Center, cancel restrictions on foreign shares in value-added telecommunications services such as information service services and internet access services, support Beijing build an international information industry and digital trade port, and appropriately relax the requirements for loan financing guarantee for listed companies on the Beijing Stock Exchange.
Industrial Economy
*MIIT issued the “Guidelines for the Pilot Construction of the 5G and Industrial Internet Integrated Application Pilot Zone”, which proposed to guide industrial enterprises to accelerate the improvement of the integrated application level of new generation information and communication technologies such as 5G, cloud computing, edge computing, big data and AI. Accelerate the construction of 5G base stations and promote the deep coverage of 5G networks in industrial enterprises and parks.
*Ministry of Culture and Tourism and MIIT jointly announced the first batch of “5G + Smart Tourism” application pilot projects, with a total of 30 projects selected.

*With the special refinancing bonds used to replace hidden debts being raised in place, Multiple provinces have proposed a framework for resolving hidden debts. The main measures include debt extension or renewal loans and reducing interest payment expenses.

* Global crude oil price closed down mostly. January NYMEX crude oil contract down 0.97% to closed at $76.35/b, January Brent contract down 0.93% to closed at $81.12/b. INE crude oil active contract up 1.15% to 578.5 yuan/b.
* Precious metals closed mixed, COMEX gold active contract up 0.03% and closed at $1993.3/oz. SHFE gold active contract down 0.16% and closed at 465.60 yuan/gram.
* Metals closed up mostly, LME zinc up 1.92%, LME nickel up 0.97%, LME copper up 0.52%. LME tin down 1.47% on the contrast. SHFE nickel up 0.76%, SHFE zinc up 0.65%, bonded copper up 0.47%. SHFE tin down 0.55% on the contrast.
* Commodity futures closed mixed. Chemistry and energy products closed up mostly, bitumen up 2.29%, fuel oil, methanol and glass up nearly 1%, soda ash down 1.37%. Black series closed down collectively. Agricultural products closed mixed, cotton yarn down 1.58%, cotton down 1.11%, RBD palm olein down 1.07%.
