Xi’s emphasis
*Chairman Xi Jinping recently emphasized during his inspection in Jiangsu that Jiangsu has advantages such as solid industrial foundation, abundant scientific and educational resources, excellent business environment and huge market size. It has the ability and responsibility to advance and demonstrate China's modernization. To fully and accurately implement the new development concept, continue to strive for a leading role in reform and innovation, promote high-quality development, demonstrate in serving the country's construction of a new development pattern, take the lead in achieving socialist modernization, work hard to promote the new practice of Chinese-style modernization in Jiangsu, and write a new chapter of "strong wealth, beautiful height" new modernization construction in Jiangsu.
International Relationship
*Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with US Treasury Secretary Yellen in Beijing on July 7th. Yellen said that the US is not seeking "decoupling and breaking the chain", and seek mutual benefit and win-win situation for the US-China economy.
Industrial Economy
*The large-scale ecological cooperation community was officially launched on the 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, Cloudwalk Technology, QCloud, Alibaba Cloud, BAIDU, IFLYTEK and other domestic representative large model companies became the first batch of founding member units.
*During the release of results at the closing ceremony of the "2023 Global Digital Economy Conference", the Beijing Academy of Social Sciences released the Blue Book "Beijing Digital Economic Development Report (2022-2023)", which pointed out to promote the integrated development of digital economy and real economy.
*The Hong Kong Monetary Authority announced to relax the mortgage limit for self-occupied properties below 15 million yuan in the property market by 70%, with immediate effect which is the first relaxation measures implemented after introducing counter-cyclical macro prudential measures in the real estate market.
*Ministry of Ecology and Environment publicly solicited opinions on the "Management Measures for Voluntary Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Transactions (Trial)", which proposed that legal persons and other organizations registered within China can carry out voluntary greenhouse gas emission reduction activities in accordance with these measures. Greenhouse gas voluntary emission reduction projects should come from renewable energy, forestry carbon sequestration, methane emission reduction, energy conservation, efficiency enhancement and other fields that are conducive to reducing carbon and increasing foreign exchange.
Financials
*PBoC issued the "Management Measures for Central Bank Deposit Accounts" on July 7th to improve central b ank transparency, fairness and accessibility of monetary settlement services which will be implemented from August 15th.
*MIIT held a roundtable meeting and established a communication and exchange mechanism with specialized and special new small and medium-sized enterprises to strengthen enterprise service work and help high-quality development of small and medium-sized enterprises.
*CSRC announced that the management and custody rates for active equity fund fee reduction measures shall not exceed 1.2% and 0.2%, respectively. And planned to gradually standardize the commission rate for public fund securities trading.

*Ant Technology Group and Tencent received tens of billions of fines by the State Administration for Financial Supervision and Administration and platform companies have entered normalized supervision, due to infringement on the legitimate rights and interests of consumers and illegal participation in the business activities of banking and insurance institutions.

* Global crude oil price closed up collectively. August NYMEX crude oil contract up 2.6% to closed at $73.67/b, September Brent contract up 2.26% to closed at $78.25/b. INE crude oil active contract up 2.6% to 569.3 yuan/b.
